A Trend that's Here to Stay: Brut IPA

A Trend that's Here to Stay: Brut IPA

For about a year now, we’ve seen beer brands like Marz, Revolution, Hailstorm and Hopewell put out a fresh, clean, effervescent spin on beer: Brut IPAs.

Coming out of San Francisco, brut IPAs combine hoppy beer and brut champagne for a clean, crisp, light and much drier beer experience.

Personally, I’m excited about this style. It’s a much needed break from the haze craze and gives our palates an opportunity to stretch.

For more information on this style, look no further than Binny’s podcast, Barrel to Bottle, where you can listen to a great friend of mine (and cicerone), Roger Adamson, go into depth about the style itself, its roots, and how it’s being perceived in the craft beer world.

This one from J Wakefield was sent to me by a new beer fan friend, my guy Jamal over at @thehopcircles. Follow him for Florida beer adventures!
